What is a featured article?

A featured article exemplifies our very best work and features professional standards of writing and presentation. In addition to meeting the requirements for all cbwikiarticles, it generally has the following attributes:

1. It is well written, comprehensive, accurate, and stable.
   • (a) "Well written" means that the read is clear and understandable, but still good prose.
   • (b) "Comprehensive" means that the article is not missing information or details.
   • (c) "Accurate" means that the article is correct when compared to the reality.
   • (d) "Stable" means that the article is not the subject of ongoing edit wars and that its content does not change significantly from day to day; vandalism reverts and improvements based on reviewers' suggestions do not apply.
2. The article follows our style and formatting, including:
   • (a) a concise lead paragraph that summarizes the entire topic;
   • (b) proper use of headings and subheadings; and
   • (c) a substantial table of contents for navigation.
3. It has images where appropriate; however, including images is not a prerequisite for a featured article.
